Fishermen in Pokemon Clover: How to Get Through Them
When you’ve progressed far into the game, specifically after three Gym Badges, you will arrive at Parax Town.
When you head south, thinking you can progress the game further, a total of six Fishermen will block your path. You need to do a couple of scenarios before you can proceed.
Heading west won’t do you any better, because a ghost will block you from proceeding.

Step 1: Doing the Burial Tower
The first thing you need to do is complete the Burial Tower part of the game.
Talk to the Old Man
Talk to this Old Man NPC based on the images below. Talking to him will make him go to the Burial Tower, which will allow you to enter it. If you don’t do this, there is a skeleton guy who will block you from entering the Burial Tower.
Inside the Burial Tower, you have to avoid getting seen by the skeleton guys. They will stare you down and will take you back to the previous floor. Just avoid getting seen by these skeleton guys until you make your way to the top.
The Mimicking Skeleton Guy
This skeleton guy will follow whatever direction you move. He will get stuck, blocking your path and forcing you to turn back as he continues to stare at you.
Also, don’t press up since he will go up, thus staring you down as well. Here are the button combinations you need to get past him.

- Down (he will move two tiles forward, but he will not go down even further)
- Down (you will move beside the railing)
- Left (he will move to the left wall)
After pressing those button combinations, you’re now free of him. Continue to navigate through the floor.
Encounters and the Boss Fight
There are random encounters that will appear as ghosts. You can’t fight or catch them yet, so just make sure to run away.

On the top floor, there will be a boss fight against Spilefree. You can catch it or just beat it.

Once Spilefree is defeated, the Old Man NPC will give you the Skelecharm. This item allows you to see the ghost enemies in the Burial Tower as actual Pokemon that you can battle and catch.
You’re basically done here, so it’s time to move on.
Step 2: Fight the Fourth Gym Leader
Once you’re done with the Burial Tower part, head west since the ghost will not block your path anymore. Make your way to Animango City, and you can fight the Fourth Gym Leader.
Gym Leader Snoop specializes in using Grass-type enemies. Prepare yourself and overcome the Gym’s gimmick, which isn’t that hard.
Step 3: Finish Memes Incorporated

Memes Incorporated is a big part of the game, and it can be very long. Nevertheless, you just have to soldier on. This part will remind you of the Silph Co. quest in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen.
The final boss, Lil Bro, will carry on to the next part of the game.
Step 4: Conquer Team Karma’s Secret Base
Once you beat Lil Bro in Memes Incorporated, he will run away. This leads to the next section, where you have to complete Team Karma’s Secret Base which is located in the sewers.
This part isn’t as long as Memes Incorporated, but the puzzle can be annoying. Head to the sewers based on the images below.
Once inside, just navigate your way through the base.

The Fishermen Are Gone!
After completing Burial Tower, the Fourth Gym, Memes Incorporated, and Team Karma’s Secret Base, you can now go back to Parax Town.
Head to where the Fishermen were blocking, and you’ll see that they are gone. At this point, you will be looking for Lil Bro, who ran away from Team Karma’s secret base, but we’re done.
In Closing
When you know how to get past the Fishermen in Pokemon Clover, you must invest some time and effort. It is a long process and not something you can rush through.
It also takes longer due to the challenge that Pokemon Clover brings.
That being said, maybe just enjoy and take your time while traversing through this part of the game. It isn’t like you’ll lose anything while trying to get those pesky Fishermen out of the way.
